I have directed this SOL version at two schools, and being the shortest in the series, it works wonderfully. I have acted in the play three times, once with Maggie Smith at Stratford. Unabridged, it is long and wordy. The SOL version is just 54% of the Folio, shorter than Stratford, but longer than the Kenneth Branagh film.
